As a Lighting Artist, you will be in charge of creating lighting for gameplay and cinematics.
Responsabilities
Under the direction of the Artistic Director and in close collaboration with the graphic, code, level design and cinematic teams; your main missions will be the following:
- Creating lighting for last generation consoles in the respect of priorities, deadlines and technical constraints
- Participate in the improvement of tools and work methods related to the creation of lights in the engine
- Optimize lighting to meet performance constraints
- Occasionally participate in Level Building
Candidate Profile
Skills and profile required
You have:
- A good knowledge of graphic production processes related to real time constraints
- A good understanding of PBR rendering and the interaction between materials and lighting
- Previously worked as a Lighting Artist on at least one commercialized game (at least 2 years experience)
- You also know how to use a 3D engine such as Unreal Engine or Unity
You are:
- Trained or self-taught in audiovisual media
- Able to adapt to any 3D engine to get the most out of it
- Organized and autonomous, and you like to invest yourself in the projects you work on
- Open to criticism and feedback
- At ease with quality and time constraints
Ideally:
- Previous experience using an "in-house" game editor
- General knowledge of other skills (modeling, texturing, vfx)
- An interest in the study and enhancement of light through photography or painting (traditional or digital)
- A good level of English
