The positions (fixed-term and permanent contracts) can be carried out semi-remotely or in-office (94200 Ivry). 


As a Level/Quest Designer, you will participate in the creation of quests and levels to provide an immersive experience for the player.  

Under the direction of the Lead Designer and the Design Director, your main responsibilities will be:

Quest Design

  • Designing the game's narrative tree in the form of quests in collaboration with the writers
  • Integrating and scripting quests in levels
  • Creating and managing dialogue trees

Level Design

  • Building levels in collaboration with the graphics team
  • Implementing feedback on the player's progress (quest markers, level maps, quest log, etc.)
  • Implementing enemies and combat zones

Debugging and fine-tuning

  • Creating and allocating points of interest to encourage exploration
  • Adjusting the pace of play and the difficulty curve  
  • Ensuring the integrity and coherence of the game's narrative structure
  • Debugging and testing


Candidate Profile

Skills and profile required

You have:  

  • Good scripting skills and a technical inclination
  • A good understanding of game pace
  • A very good understanding of "Western RPGs" and experience with games with non-linear narratives
  • An excellent understanding of semi-open worlds
  • Already worked on a AA game

You are:

  • Passionate and organised

  • Communicative and able to share your ideas and collaborate with the other departments


  • Professional experience on an RPG
  • Experience in creating content for existing games (modding, map creation, etc.)
  • Experience adapting to in-house editing tools
  • Fluent English and French


Additional Information

Several positions are open for fixed-term contracts (CDD)  

One permanent position for a senior profile (CDI)

Spiders is based in Paris (Porte d'Ivry)
